Synopsis and Discussion

Air quality levels are in the GREEN range as cold air sweeps into the Triad and keep high temperatures in the 30s. Lows overnight will fall into the upper teens and skies will remain clear. As this high pressure slowly rotates over the Mid-Atlantic states, it will begin to shift our winds to the east and help allow AQI readings to increase over the next few days. A weak coastal low will begin to form off the Florida coast and further support easterly winds, which could limit the upward trend for AQI concentrations. Expect AQI levels to return to the YELLOW range for Tuesday and Wednesday. (Bodenhamer)
